Mulank: your birth-day number
Mulank uses the day of the month only. For someone born on the 29th, 2 + 9 = 11, then 1 + 1 = 2. Their birth month and year do not affect this number.

Your Vedic numerology profile
Your birth day gives you Mulank. Your full birth date gives you Bhagyank. Your name adds Namank. Together, they offer three distinct perspectives within this numerological tradition.
ONE TRADITION, THREE CALCULATIONS
You do not need to memorize a formula to begin. Mulank comes from the day you were born; Bhagyank uses your full birth date; and Namank assigns numerical values to the letters of your name.
Each result is reduced to a single digit from 1 to 9 and linked symbolically with a planet. These associations are an invitation to reflect, not a prediction of what will happen.
Indian numerology explained
This calculator follows a contemporary form of Indian numerology, sometimes called Vedic numerology or Ank Jyotish. It creates a three-part profile: Mulank from your birth day, Bhagyank from your full birth date, and Namank from your name. They are separate calculations, not three labels for the same number.
Each result is reduced to a single digit from 1 through 9. This method does not retain 11, 22, or 33 as master numbers. The nine digits have traditional symbolic associations with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Rahu, Mercury, Venus, Ketu, Saturn, and Mars. These associations are interpretive rather than scientific personality measurements.
Mulank uses the day of the month only. For someone born on the 29th, 2 + 9 = 11, then 1 + 1 = 2. Their birth month and year do not affect this number.
Bhagyank adds the digits of the day, month, and year until one digit remains. Two people born on the same day of the month can therefore share a Mulank while having different Bhagyank results.
Namank uses an eight-value letter table closely related to Chaldean numerology. Every supported letter in the name you enter contributes to a total, which is then reduced to a digit from 1 to 9.
Worked example
The same date produces a Mulank and Bhagyank of 2, but through different steps. You can check each digit yourself.
Numbers and planets
These traditional associations belong to the symbolic language of Indian numerology. The calculation needs neither a birth time nor a birthplace.
| Number | Planet | Traditional name |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sun | Surya |
| 2 | Moon | Chandra |
| 3 | Jupiter | Guru |
| 4 | Rahu | Rahu |
| 5 | Mercury | Budha |
| 6 | Venus | Shukra |
| 7 | Ketu | Ketu |
| 8 | Saturn | Shani |
| 9 | Mars | Mangal |
